Gerrard on the right in that games with Lucas in his position or Gerrard in the middle with Lucas instead of Kuyt.
Yes and this is a golden opportunity now as Alonso is injured

So this Lucas kid is SO promising, we're giving him Gerrards position all of a sudden?

None of you have seen him play more than one or two games. It's all a case of "he must be this" and "he must be that".

I do agree that he needs games. He just came to the wrong club to get them.

They are serious players but Gerrard has to play right side again sadly.
          It's a problem position
Its one ****in daft hypothetical question like but if you want an answer then YES I would blame him if after about 8 games he wanted to leave because he werent getting many games. He was signed as a kid with potential and will be given opportunities throughout the course of the season to show his worth.

            If yes, which position?

I'd say he'd be the most dangerous playing right behind Torres (i.e. Kuyt's position). I think Rafa should give him a chance to prove himself as I think Lucas is a huge prospect in our squad
Nah, Rafa doesn't like to chop and change

The lad has potential. Potential - that is ALL at the moment. If Rafa would've picked him today and the same result ensued both of them would've been crucified! I can just see it now:

SPEEDYG: POLL: IS RAFA COSTING US THE TITLE WHEN HE PICKS YOUNG PLAYERS OVER ESTABLISHED STARS?

mind you - I'm sure Rafa doesn't give a **** what gets written in the t'internet about him! Depends on what the match going public think at the end of the day - and none of us were happy this affy!

He has more potential than any kid and has played at a very high level already in the Brazilian league,National team and South American equivalent final of the champions league.Playing the odd cup game wont help him.
I really hope he lives up to his reputation and starts pushing for a place.
If he does not then IMO he will go or get loaned to Spain
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful

cos the brazilian league is the same as the PL innit mate

give him [and Rafa] a chance to adapt and he'll be right as rain - until then please trust our other players a bit

I don't think we should get too carried away about Lucas just yet. He's obviously talented and has a load of potential, but he's the same age as Babel, another great young player.

Babel has found it tough enough to adjust to the EPL and he has been playing in Europe for a good for years. I think it is unrealistic to expect much more from Lucas when he has just arrived from South America.

Having said that I'm looking forward to seeing him playing on Tuesday.

It should give us a decent indication as to how close himself and Leto are to the first team squad.

He could trun out to be the new Kleberson rather than the new Kaka. We don't know at the moment yet alot of people who have seen him play a handful of times are going on as if he's the best thing since sliced bread.

Id give Lucas a shot against Wigan next weekend.

They will at least play a little bit of football against us.
