Don't know where you get "your standards" from but I was taling about comparing him to Digger. He's nowhere near Digger's class yet but he could get there in a couple of seasons.

For sure, nowhere near diggers class. Didn't mean to imply that, must have been abusing substances when you said that

Look mate, hes just not impressed me that much. I hope it works out for the lad, but i was responding to the usual arguement of the "bedding in" period - which i think is bollox, youve either got it, youre playing well and youre winning us games or youre not. i think hes got the materials, he just needs to put it together beacuse at the minute john Barnes he most certainly is not. Just my opinion, like i said to sean - i just dont think by the end of the season he will have made himself one of rafas untouchable players.

Agree with that 100% mate, been saying the same meself mate. Think he`s gonna be **** hot (I hope) but he looks a bit raw for me at the moment. From what ive seen, Leto looks to be the one with the confidence to take the piss out of full backs at the moment.

Letos looking like he just constantly wants to run past then with a few tricks along the way. A decent crosser of the ball aswell

I don't think Leto is physically (I mean cardio wise) capable of playing yet. He seemed really tired against Toulouse. Its maybe he's lacking match fitness playing in the reserves but does look a talent. He's not the quickest but can go past people easily

Remember that Ronaldo wouldn't be the player he is, if he wasn't in the united team from an early age.

Ifhe is playing he will be getting experience.

I think he is covering the wings until we get decent wingers in. Once we do, I like the sound of 'Torres of Babel' too.

What does that mean exactly "toughen up his character" ?

If Babel was English and we'd only paid £1m for him people would be saying he's ****ing ****e; none of this 'raw' bollocks.

I was hoping he'd have a good game at the weekend but he was cack. No excuses. At the moment he should not be getting in the first XI because he's contributing **** all. I have yet to see the lad break into a sweat. How he manages to play for Holland on that form god only knows.

Strange that the two players with the worst first touch in our team are both Dutch who are supposedly technically superior to us brits.
                        Liverpool born and bred.

but you can see that the lad's full of talent, can you?
he's got everything it takes to be a star player in this game but give him some time, will ya. whoever expected him to play brilliantly from the start is obviously deluded.

Hammill is also very talented but he is loaned out. Babel has talent but so has Hammill.

I would rather play Hammill on the wing than Babel because he is a winger and Babel is a striker.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Babels touch isn't as bad as people are making out. When the ball is played along the ground he takes it in his stride perfectly. Its when he has to deal with a Stevie G Hollywood pass that he sometimes miss-controls.

He shows flashes of talent, but is quite clearly raw. I thought he started quite well on saturday...then faded, which happens to young players. You cant expect him to dominate games so soon. Its unfair and unrealistic.

Leto deserves a game for sure, he has looked a class above the reserves. I keep saying it....but he reminds me of Santi Solari more and more each time i see him. He's not blazing fast, but has very quick feet, and always beats his man. He also puts in a pretty good cross. I have high hope for him.

I also think Aurelio at LB would have a postive effect on Babels play. He overlaps well, and with Babel drifting in on his right foot it would give him and outlet for a nice cross into th box from Aurelio.

"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..."
