Taking a long break from football

...Not going to start a thread slating Rafa and his rotation. However, due to a run of bad luck personally and the poor results of late (due to our own doing and not the opposition being great) I've noticed that football is making me even more depressed. The fact that we have a team capable of challenging and we aren't due to our own messing around makes the situation a lot worse

So I've decided to take a break from all things football (watching, following scores on Sky on a Saturday). Hopefully that should result in a more positive outlook

I hope Rafa reads these boards and realises his mistakes also

This is bigger than Pako leaving.

      I'm sure Rafa is devastated.

Damn right. Then India have a big one day series against Australia. Just managed to bag a half day from work today too.

              Things already looking up!

If this is your reaction after playing nine competitive matches unbeaten and only conceding three goals (all penalties) then stay away from the gas cooker when we do lose one...

Good luck Sarb. I've told myself that I would take a break from football but the pull is too great...

What an odd thread, I'm assuming you were a supporter through the dark later days of Houllier's era and the under achieving Evans team, yet when we have a team that looks capable of doing the business and we've still actually had our best start for a number years, you feel the need to take a bit of back seat?

                          I can understand that...

I used to boil over with frustration when watching Liverpool. I took a break and these days, whilst still getting pissed off, it doesn't put me in a mood for the rest of the day.

Im going to buck the trend here and say I know how you feel and taking a break isnt a bad idea. A 24/7 football obsession is not a good thing and people say its only a game but it isnt really. Im not going to be shanklyesque but its an addiction. Scouring the net for every piece of LFC news, watching every replay, spending heaps of time on sites like this. Having said that taking a break wont work becuase the anxiety and knot in your stomach will be back the next time you watch LFC failing to break down an inferior side whilst one of the worlds best strikers looks on bemused.
