I feel for Rafa, whatever he does is pulled to bits by the modern day liverpool fan.

He was the ****test manager in the universe the other day because he DIDNT start Torres.
This a "worhless" cup game. Torres is our only quality striker. Torres should play in the league, not in the CC. There is a chance that he will get injured every time he plays so why take that risk in a "worthless" cup game?

We won't have any chance to win the league if Torres gets injured two, three months.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

We clearly looked MUCH better when Torres and Gerrard came on against Pompey. Much much better. There is no reason to debate that fact. Why not play Momo against Porto? He was made to run around all over the pitch and kick Quaresma to smithereens.

After the Derby game we had momentum. After the Pompey game we went back in neutral. After the Brum game we had a lot of stuff in the dresssing room but not momentum.
It's so ****ing easy when your sat in your armchair isnt it.

I dont see it as "worthless" at all. Its a trophy. Liverpool FC exists to win trophies.

We will have a chance to win the league if Torres gets injured, it would just be more difficult. He does NOT win games all on his own believe it or not.

What a pile of rubbish! What happens if they get injured in the next game or the game after that?

This man has won the Spanish league, the CL and many many cup competitions but you know how to do his job better than he does. You do spout some nonsense

            Don't understand this.

Very strange decision if he is starting Torres.

I can understand the logic of not playing him against Birmingham, but the mind boggles if Rafa was resting him for an EPL game so he'd be fresh for the bloody Carling Cup.

Does it say anywhere that he is starting? Rafa hasn't said so I think. And IF he starts this could be a good opportunity to test Crouch and Torres. I think we should see what happens, maybe Torres and Gerrard won't play any part at all and will just sit on their arses but Carra has to play I think to partner Hobbs.
                * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

No it doesn't say that he isstarting Torres.

You may notice in my original post I said IF he is starting Torres.

                  :whatever:

I doubt he will, I hope he won't, but if he does it will be a strange decision.

He plays 4games in the league and scored 3goals and we get 10points.
He sits out the next two and we dont score and get 2points.
He is clearly making a difference. He wont play tonight anyway, but if he does then it's just a joke.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful

How moronic can you get? Do you have any limits?

The 3-5-2 allows you to free you fullbacks and deploy them as wingers and only play with 3 defenders. 3 centrebacks? Drop the acid man. You brain is fried. 3 centrebacks are three defenders fullstop.

                      A 3-5-2 is

                      3 defenders
                      5 midfieldes
                      2 attackers

Do you understand so far? (Of course you don't)

Against a 4-5-1 such as Brums we suffered through the midfield. On many occasions Mascher and Gerrard were out numbered at CM and didn't manage to win the second ball. We could have pulled Kuyt back and thrown Torres up front. Birmingham's five-man midfield won the game for them. We couldn't break it down. To apply pressure we needed more force through the midfield.

Tell these boards what is the most offensive formation: A 4-4-2 or a 3-5-2.

Tell me again why you can't play a 3-5-2 against Brum because they only play with 1 attacker.

You gotta be ****ing kidding me with this ****e.

He does make a difference, hes a very good player. No one can convince me though that we can not win the league if he gets injured. No one can convince me either that its a bad thing if he gets picked to play tonight.

Whoever gets picked tonight I hope plays well and beats Reading.

If you try to tell me that you can't play a 3-5-2 against a team playing one man up front then you don't need to answer. I will just file you in the "stupid beyond help" section.

So you would play 3 at the back against a team that's playing one up front? Makes perfect sense

I'm not even going to pass comment about what you've written about Rafa as I know I'll only get some sarcastic comment.

I fully agree that supporters should criticise, its your right being a fan. BUT the criticism should come secondary to the support you show, especially when things arent going as they should.

At the moment I definitely feel our fans show far far more willingness to slate the team and especially the manager than they do to support them.
I agree, my sweary, ranting friend.

Lets just wait and see. Maybe the Journos are wrong on this and our star players will be on the bench. I hope so anyway, i couldnt care less if we got knocked out tonight.

We all know our key players need to be fresh for Wigan, Marseille and Spurs. Hopefully that will be the case.

Hobbs, Leto, Lucas, Voronin and Crouch to start tonight please Rafa.

                            I wait and hope

I know what you mean but I think RedProf's got a point too. Everyone's got an opinion on everything these days. It is sh*te.
