Hands up, who thought Torres was this good?

Although Eto'o was my dream buy in the summer, I was more than happy when we bought Torres. You can't play for Spain so many times at such a young age if you aren't very good. I'd seen him quite a few times on the box for Spain and Atletico and he always looked pretty tasty.

However, I didn't realise just how good he is. He's been absolutely brilliant since he signed. His goal against Chelsea was top drawer but its his pace allied with his workrate that makes him so good.

In short I knew he was good but he's twice the player I thought he was.

NO WAY did I think he was this good. I knew his movement was good and I knew he could put the ball in the net. But he's ****ing quick, he's strong on the ball, determined, hard working and has superb skills.
Great control, deadly finishing, intelligent running which creates his own chances and he can beat a defender with his trickery.
What has really impressed me is he's ALL OVER the pitch, he is like Rushie, the first line of defence

He wasn't this good the last two seasons in Spain but that was because he played for a midtable team and had to do everything himself, most of the times from the wings.
