Remember last season we played this a few times (Watford away was one). Well I believe we should play this formation against the ****ter teams (like this weekend away to Wigan).

We played 3 at the back against West Ham didn't we?

It's a formation that suites certain games..What I would say is, Rafa will never ever play Babel as a wide attacking full-back in a 3-4-3/3-5-2

And yeah, maybe you're right about Babel not playing in that formation. Riise or Aurelio then.

It's obvious Torres has to start every game though, whatever formation we play.

I'd be nothing short of DEVASTATED if we don't win at Wigan.

this would allow mascher to cover the back and would allow both gerrard and Xabi the chance to attack. think of how many chances we would make in a game with this line up

I think it would be too crowded in midfield as the **** teams tend to play 4-5-1 against us. DWW made some good points about this system yesterday and I agree with him fully. We don't need the extra man in midfield as we would expect to keep possession either way. But I'm not adverse to the idea of lumping another man in the front line.
