I just wanted to share this with you. This is a true story:

There were 25 people over from the local supporters club in JARs hometown in Norway for the Birmingham match. This is a new club and it’s the first time they’ve been over as a group (first time over at all for many of them).

A full dinner was planned for Sunday and the guys were hoping to have JAR present. Contact had been made with his agent/adviser long time in advance, but a proper answer was never given as if he could/would come along.

After the match the trip organizer (the same guy who had been in contact with the agent) stood waiting for the players to leave the stadium. There were nobody else there, he was all alone.

Out come JAR and the agent – both completely ignores him. They walk no more than 10m from him – it’s not a question of not having been seen or heard. Whilst getting seated in the car he can also hear the agent/adviser talk negatively about him.

The dinner went ahead, with no sign of JAR of course.

You're speculating and jumping to conlcusions a hell of a lot i think:

1) as you said, no confirmation of JAR's attendance had been confirmed
2) you don't know what Riise could or couldn't hear whilst getting into the car
3) you don't know whether riise and his agent saw this lonesome figure loitering after the event had taken place.

The motto is quite clear. Don't go travelling overseas with high hopes of meeting someone if they haven't confirmed they can make the engagement. Granted, there will be some disappointed people but that's no more Riise's fault than it is mine! so lay of the insults towards the lad.

This is no speculation. However, believe what you will.

The guys didn't have high hopes at all. David Fairclough was at the dinner, which everybody apparently were well chuffed over.
