Liverpool Players in World Top 100 List

    From the Offal:

    FOUR REDS MAKE WORLD LIST
    Jimmy Rice 26 September 2007

Four Liverpool stars have been named in a poll of the 100 greatest players in the world.
Steven Gerrard (6), Fernando Torres (34), Javier Mascherano (94) and Jamie Carragher (97) all made Four Four Two Magazine's list.

Kaka was deemed the world's best player, with Cristiano Ronaldo second, Ronaldinho third, Thierry Henry fourth and Lionel Messi in fifth.

Meanwhile, Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard were asked to pick their top fives, which went like this:

    Fernando Torres

    1. Steven Gerrard
    2. Kaka
    3. Ronaldinho
    4. Wayne Rooney
    5. Thierry Henry

    Steven Gerrard

    1. Kaka
    2. Lionel Messi
    3. Thierry Henry
    4. Cristiano Ronaldo
    5. Ronaldinho

What do we make of that list?

I don't think anyone could argue with Kaka at number one but I think Messi should be top three at least.

Gerrard sixth, is that a fair reflection of his standing in the world game?

Should Carra or Torres have been ranked higher?

And should anymore of our players have made the list? Xabi perhaps or Pepe?

Also like the way Torres voted for Gerrard as his number one.

Good way to ingratiate yourself with the captain Fernando.

A humble guy with healthy desire.

Does anyone here buy 442 ?

I'd be fascinated to hear which defenders are ranked above Carra.

          Haddock face Neville -85?

          Above Carra?

That invalidates the list before I even look any further.

                  Not sure mate.

It seems like it's purely the selection of 442 magazine themselves.

Tis all right. I've bought 442 for the last 2 and a half years but this is one of the most rediculous things I've ever seen in it

No, no, no ... you miss my point. No wonder your title is "The Simple One". Where is he in the list? You took me too literally.
