Surely we already knew this. With his cousin and attending the service every year there is no way he wouldn't think like that.

I appreciate it was a mistake mate but I would have thought we always back our own until we know one way or another, innocent until proven guilty.

I have just spoken to the person (Ian Doyle ) of the post and learned the following:

1. The interview was given by Gerrard to Doyle and a hack from the Echo, no one else.

2. The club will not allow the scum at any player interviews or even open days or visits etc.
3. Ian Doyle knows Gerrard personally and said Gerrard despises the scum and would die before giving them an exclusive.
4. The hack for the scum (Phil Thomas) is known personally by Doyle and this is not the first time Doyle's work has been "borrowed" and renamed, it is common by the Nationals to nick of the local rags.

5. I apologise to Gerrard and for starting this dumbass thread.

I did ask him and he seemed quite blase about it, he said it was the norm thoughout the country. He didnt seem to mind.

P.S: Unlike everyone else I spoke to at the Post, he is not a scouser.

Once an article is printed or posted on a website any direct quotes are public domain.

you cannot copyright a conversation, and provided the s*n do not repeat the Doyle article word for word there is very little anyone can do about it
