try using VLC media player. Streaming software like TVANTS, PP MATE and occasionally SOPCAST have been told to no longer accept ISP addresses from the UK so you will have to do this by proxy. Not easy but do-able.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Sopcast is the only one that works for me too nowadays...3 things to help youOriginally posted by captainfog View PostIt's all been a bit dodgy recently, and I don't mean that **** band in the 90's with the bleached blonde hair.
TV Ants doesn't work
Nothing is ever on the PPMate or whatever its called anymore
As for Sopcast, usually it is very reliable, but recently it keeps telling me that there are no peers or it buffers to 100% without actually downloading anything and I just get a blank screen. At the weekend, I had a perfect picture for the first 43 mins and then it just went blank and didn't come back.
Help!
1. Pre-load the correct channel up 10 mins before kickoff or earlier if you remember to get online - buffering is faster
2. If it buffers to 100% but nothing...go back to live matches link table and click it again and wait...hence the reason to try to get online as early as you can
3. Buy a subscription to some dodgy norweigan sports channel
Cheers

I'm having troubles with SopCast lately as it's usually telling me there are no peers. And if I do actually get a stream, it is usually of crap quality.Originally posted by captainfog View PostIt's all been a bit dodgy recently, and I don't mean that **** band in the 90's with the bleached blonde hair.

So I changed my streams to TVAnts and they work quite fine to be honest.
Maybe we should stick this thread and use it for people to give them the links for streaming Liverpool games

It's not a answer to your question but it's worth considering as I was in the same boat as you guys.
You should look into buying a cheap satellite satellite dish and reciever (not $ky) off ebay or the web and look into the picking up foreign coverage of premiership football. There is a small learning curve but there is excellent support for this all over the internet.
You can get all the equipment you need for a little over £100 - £150 and your away. You can get your gear installed professionally (gonna cost you) or you can do it yourself with guides off the web yourself.
I'm not going to into what you can recieve for free and for a subscription ( I don't know about the rules on this forum in terms of what I can say)
I use to be in the same situation as you guys with streams but now I get to see 95% of all Liverpool matches on foreign satellite providers.

In the absense of any serious objections so far, you can say what you like on this one as far as I know; the opinions and advice of individual members are nothing to do with the site whatsoever, and are purely theoretical in any case I'm sure.......Originally posted by 215liverpool View PostIt's not a answer to your question but it's worth considering as I was in the same boat as you guys.

HOWEVER, many people would do well to remember that one main reason a lot of stream providers and the like go down is because people discuss them so freely on open boards, such as this one. Which is one of the reasons we will not be stickying this, or any other streaming thread in here either I'm afraid.Last edited by MrMichael; 29-09-07, 03:16 AM.I could not dig, I dared not rob:

All the links for todays game seem to need TVAnts, which as somebody mentioned, it now blocks U.K I.P addresses unless you go through a Proxy.
So the question is, how on earth do you set that up?
Anyone got a noob's step by step guide to setting up TVAnts with a Proxy?

Is it more complicated than, say, just going to a proxy site, firing up the myp2p site and going from there? Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I did a bit of digging and I came up with this. It got the channel to play that the Liverpool game will be shown on later through Footy Doctor.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View Post

1) Fire up TvAnts and select Tools > Settings > Proxy
2) Tick the box at the top 'Use proxy'. Then Click ADD.
3) Type anything for the name, But select
Type: Socks 5
Host: 211.116.254.203
Port: 2753
After adding that, Close TvAnts back down and just fire up the match link and for me, it started showing the stream, although it took a good 5mins for the picture to start and then it was still buffering quite a lot.
Hope that makes sense?# Fernando Torres, Liverpool's number 9 #
