Why the drama? If a thread is getting out of hand it gets locked. What do you expect me to do, have multilateral discussions with the thread starter, mods, owners, people directly involved, and a panel of randomly selected posters before it gets locked? This is the fate of an internet thread we're talking about, not a life. The people who were arguing had turned it into a sandbox, maybe I could have been more circumspect with what I said, but either way it gets locked. Like I said, if people can stop taking everything so seriously and be patient then the thread can be restored, if everyone kicks off like they've had some unbearable atrocity visited upon them then it takes a bit longer.
As for your PM, well I'd have answered it if I'd had the chance. I've got about 6 new PMs I haven't replied to now. They all got sent in the last half hour after that thread got locked, and the new threads about it all got started. Some people went a bit OTT on the thread. It gets dealt with, we move on. Why so much drama? I'm not on a power trip, I don't do this **** for fun, I don't do it for money, and I sure as **** don't get any respect for it. I only ever do stuff because I think it's best for the forum.
If you think it's **** modding to lock that thread, fine. You're entitled to your opinion. But you need to look at the bigger picture. Go have a look at more of an anarchist forum where everything goes, threads are rubbish to read, filled with people flaming each other, and there is little sense of community. If you prefer those kind of forums, then fine. Like I say you're entitled to your opinion. For things to be the way they are here, then there will be the odd occassion we might have to lock a thread. TBH I don't see any circumstances under which a thread should be locked. Let us imbeciles have our funOriginally posted by Red_Polo View PostWhy the drama? Communication is all I ask for fella. Not being dramatic, just pissed off when a thread I start is locked with no explanation. After the **** Rafa has took recently I was hoping to keep the thread and kick it back up again when no doubt Rafa is getting slaughter by every tom dick and harry again on here in the futureOriginally posted by Red_Polo View PostWhy the drama?what drama? No, just have a word with the person whose thread it is, especially when you know he`s online. This is the fate of an internet thread we're talking about, not a life. Correct, I never suggested otherwise
The people who were arguing had turned it into a sandbox, maybe I could have been more circumspect with what I said, but either way it gets locked. It certainly looked with your comment that it was closed full stop, there was no suggestion it was while you cleaned it to your preference. Like I said, if people can stop taking everything so seriously and be patient then the thread can be restored, if everyone kicks off like they've had some unbearable atrocity visited upon them then it takes a bit longer. Now whos the dramatic one here ved?
As for your PM, well I'd have answered it if I'd had the chance. I've got about 6 new PMs I haven't replied to now.Fair enough, but I would have thought that once you locked my thread without mentioning it to me you may have expected a pm
