Riise is shockingly poor this season.

He had a shocker last season too, for the most part.

Rafa seemed to get the best out of him early on and for a good while he was a worthy member of the first team. He's done nothing but go backwards since, sadly, and unless someone offers silly money for him, he should be a squad player and nothing more.

I totally agree mate, i'd sell him in Jan or the Summer and stick Isua or Aurelio in there instead. Although, Riise has been a valuable member of the Team down the years and should be applauded for his contribution

Well, I'd only sell if we got a daft offer of, say, upwards of £7m. Otherwise I'd keep him as a squad player.

I doubt that we will get around £7m for him. He will only have 18 months left on his contract in January and only one year next summer. £4m-£5m would be my guess and I would sell him for that.

I would then let Hammill take Riise's place in the squad.

That got me thinking - when I went to Anfield in 2001 and saw us beat the Scum 3-1. Riise scored an absolute cracker.

He has scored some cracking goals, but the simple fact is he is not good enough. He can't cross to save himself, and he shoots to often.
