Well, there are 2 possible ways of looking at this.
1) St Helens are the best Rugby League team in the world and get exposure through out it. Maybe, like in many other countries, a team has various sports to its name and we could be looking at a link up with St Helens to promote each other.
2) RL is a good game and worth going to see so who better to go and see than a local side who happen to be the best there is.Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.

rucking and mauling only happen in rugby union, not league....Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI heard it said that Rafa finds the tactical side of rugby league 'fascinating'
and feels he can take something from it.
Fair enough. I just hope he doesn't implement 'rucking and mauling' into our play."At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques"

I wondered about that and knew I'd be pulled up on it if that was the case.
Still...whatever....it must have another name in league. 'The fat man pile on'? 'Fighting over an egg shaped ball'? The grunting scrum?
Maybe he's interested in the backward pass?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

St Helens coach :
Anderson explained: “I first went to Manchester City three years ago to visit their academy and I remember bumping into Micah Richards and Kasper Schmeichel.
“You could see that they were elite players just by looking at them and at St Helens we pride ourselves on the amount of players who have progressed through our youth system.”
During the summer, Anderson and his backroom staff went to Manchester United’s training ground in search of new ideas.
Anderson said: “I spoke to Sir Alex about training schedules and he gave me an invaluable insight into what United do in their off-season. It was a private discussion but it was interesting enough for me to have a serious look at what we do in our own off-season.
“Last year I had a similar chat with Rafa Benitez about in-season training programmes and the various rehabilitation and recovery practices that Liverpool employ. We weren’t too far from their protocols and it just reinforced that we’re doing the right thing.”
Further evidence of Anderson’s desire to forge links came when Benitez attended a recent St Helens match at Knowsley Road.
“I sent invites out to a lot of the local coaches, including Sir Alex, Rafa and David Moyes,” he revealed. “I also know Sammy Lee pretty well so by getting to know these guys you pick up things that you can put to use in your own club.”
