He's every right to be fed up and only a complete numpty would be happy about it. He's being left out virtually every week in preference for, mainly, a striker who isn't scoring any goals. We don't want mercenaries who are happy to pick up their mega-wages - BUT, I haven't seen or heard any public bleating from Crouch. It's just sensationalist tabloid crap. As usual.

Crouch had a bit of a moan in a couple of post match interviews earlier in the season.

I do, I remember reading it thrown into one of his match reports I think. No link like as I never thought to write the date down or scan the echo onto me computer

Definitely read it though, bascombe made it clear crouch was stalling on a contract

read it myself but not sure it was from bascombe. regardless of the headline crouch, i think he should of been given a better run in the team but anytime that he has played he hasnt helped himself. portsmouth away was the worst ive ever seen him where he was too easily manhandled and give the ball back too easily. i was watching bolton yesterday and how deep anelka was dropping in the hole similar to the role kuyt plays. how ****ing good could that partnership of torres and anelka be?

Crouch has been offered a new deal, at least he said so a few weeks ago, but that don't mean a thing.

It could be that we want to tie him down to a longer deal so we can get more if we sell him.

That is probably the reason to why we offered Sissoko the deal that he signed.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I see Crouchie going if he doesnt toe the line soon, a straight swap for Defoe would be good business

Rafa needs to remember that we had our best league season for quite some time with Crouch starting a significant amount of games, even though he was not scoring for a fair chunk of them. And that least season we won 76% of matches Crouch started, compared to 36% when he did not.

I know, when we were linked with Anelka in the summer my gut reaction was no ta fella, youve had your chance. The more ive thought about it though the more ive realised that Anelka would be possibly THE ideal partner for Torres

I do feel sorry for Crouch. I wouldn't be too happy in his situation either if I was him but he either can choose try and take his chances when he gets them or go to a team that won't really win anything of note.

Its now looking as if he is now fourth choice striker at the club and at best he is looking at being a substitute behind Torres (obviously!) and Kuyt.

I don't think Crouch scored last season from coming on as a substitute so he isn't that supersub kinda play like Solksjaer was at United. I feel that Crouch needs to be playing from the start to make an impact on a game.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!
