Aye, not sure why he has slipped behind Voronin to be honest. Mebbe the greater mobility of the pony-tailed fellow, I dunno.

Great sheam for crouch cos he is unplayable on his day. Hopefully he'll be picked & shine on Wed..
      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

What actually has Crouch done wrong here guys?
Every time i listen to him in interviews, read his quotes in the papers he's forever saying he's committed to the club, understands the gaffers rotation policy and is willing to fight for his place so...wtf is the problem like??

whilst i agree that crouch needs to fight for his place there is no doubt in my mind that kuyt has received preferential treatment in comparison.

In all honesty i'd cash in on both in exchange for anelka! That lad is carrying bolton at the moment.

If Crouch does go i reckon 12 million easy. maybe even as early as january?

Obviously Crouch has been giving attitude to Rafa in private and Rafa doesnt like it. Just because he isnt doing it in public doesnt mean he isnt moaning behind the scenes

As for Parry's comments, he is basically saying Allardyce is a ****** who has never got on with Rafa so we expect no less. Anyway he should his team lost to Derby so that tells you everything about the value of his words. He should sort his own **** first

Me neither, I'd be willing to give it a try though.

Wonder if Crouchie would be up for a job swap?

Well he hasn't done anything wrong per se in that he is forever saying he's committed etc. I think the point is he just talks too much abt rotation etc. Is there really a need for him to go public and give every journo a response whenever they ask him what's his take on rotation? He just just keep mum and get on with it.

I agree it's probably been sensationalised, but Rafa hasn't commented on it for no reason at all. When Crouch is asked about rotation and what chance he'll have of playing the next game he doesn't quite give the same 'team first' response as other players, I've noticed a couple of post match interviews where he's said more along the lines of 'yeah IF selected' roll eyes etc

I do feel he doesn't really agree with Rafa's rotation policy, which may always have been the case - but I think the problem is his reaction. Last season he battled to prove a point and I think he scored more goals because of it. This season the lack of games seems to have made him look out of place and exasperated rather than hungry. I can't agree with the conclusion the thread title seems to draw just yet, nor do I think the title of the article is proportional, but I do think this is a big warning for Crouch and he needs to react the right way.

I am not saying that he is right to talk publicly about rotation causing his form to dip, but I have no doubt that lack of games is what is costing him his form.
You can hardly say he's being rotated, he's been dropped because of his dip in form in my opinion.

He's not even getting into the squad at the moment, he seems to have taken the arrival of good competition very badly.

I hope he sorts it out, I rate him, but at the end of the day you have to earn your place in a Liverpool squad every game and he isn't doing it at the moment.

He more than earned a start in the Champions League final, what would have been the biggest game in his career, considering he was our top scorer in Europe and we'd won every game he'd start in the European campaign "proper". He's not looked the same player for us since he was dropped for that match and I can understand why, it must be quite demotivating to know that no matter how well you play the chances are your manager will go with his favourite players regardless.

I wouldn't argue with you about the final but Rafa picks the team not Crouchie or me.

It's done now and if he can't get over it then he's finished.

I hope he gets over it because he has a much greater opportunity of having another chance of playing in a Champions League final staying with us than he's got of even playing in the Champions League with some of the teams that have been linked with him.

I don't think he has said a whole lot wrong but there is obviously something in it as Rafa always defends his players to a point

Trouble is Crouch hasn't done the business when he has got his opportunity, if he had he would have played more, simple as that. The Toulouse game summed up the problem with Crouch perfectly. He scored a good goal, missed 3 or 4 very scoreable chances and played no better than average against a poor side, yet came out giving it loads "all I can do is keep taking advantage of the games I play and scoring and leave it with the manager to decide if I play next game". Kuyt on the other hand scores 2, plays miles better and says he was disappointed as he missed 2 more good chances. Rafa looks at performance & attitude and IMO Crouch is falling behind in both, hence not playing as much as he wants
At a football club there's a holy trinity- the players the manager and the supporters, Directors dont come into it, they are only there to sign the cheques " - Bill Shankly
