    Jaaaaaaaavier Mascherano...

What's the official situation with the lad? On loan, with an option to buy at the end of the season? At a set price? Is it all gonna be legit?

He's been exceptionally good and if it's not an already agreed price, it could end up being an auction, which we really dont want.

As far as I know, we payed 3 mill for the 18 month loan with an option to buy him for an agreed price of 15 mill at the end if all parties agreed, making it a total fee of 18million.

Excellent. We'll do it by process of elimination then

I think there was an agreed price for when the loan spell is up, i think it's in the region of £15m i'm sure someone on here will know the exact figure.

If we don't end up with him on a permenant deal we'll have ****ed up big time as the guy's a class act
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

He's an absolute must-buy although I thought he was below-par yesterday, notably his passing.

          I love him though.

No point buying any sooner than his loan runs out - why spend the money now? As far as I know we have first option on him? I'd imagine the fee would be fixed - something like £18m, perhaps.

Something has to give in CM and I reckon Momo will be moved on next summer. Two into five doesn't go and with Momo signed on a long contract, we should be able to get £12-15m for him. Sell Momo , buy Masher, at no great expense and money saved for other areas.

Ya, it's clear. He is a fantastic player, no, but it is a problem when we have so many players in the eskwad to fill two positions, no? It is not easy to keep everybody happy and maybe we change things around a leetle beet.

Nor do I but what can we do? D'you reckon we can keep SG, Xabi, Masher, Momo and Lucas all happy? I don't.

I can't see us binning Lucas - no chance in fact - so the next in line is surely Momo. I'd be very sad to see him go but I think that's the way we'll go.

Mascherano surely is ours if we want him. Given the lengths Rafa went to to get him, it's pretty obvious we'll make his stay permanent, IMO.

Lucas was as pointless a signing as i can remember.

Not that he's no good or anything, i havent seen enough to comment. But the other 4, between them, give us every midfield attribute you need. No need to have signed Lucas. Unless Rafa felt the Masher deal wasnt guaranteed.

He's the Brazilian Footballer of the Year FFS! I imagine Rafa thought he was too good to pass up.

But we didnt need him mate. And if we're signing superstars from South America, why not some of the exciting attacking talent?
