      Too slow. We can't play a pressing game at home with Sami in the team. His distribution is awful. Agger is sorely missed.

        Show me a quick, young, skillful defender who is ready to sit on bench for a long periods of time 'cause Agger & Carra are playing?

        Sami is a more than decent squad player who's only filling in at the moment.

              It might be time for Sami to go. Fergie realised Pallister and Bruce were slow so he got rid of them. Wenger got rid of his whole back four, did brilliantly after. Maybe Rafa should do it as well. Sami is too slow and it is affecting us when he plays. I have nothing against him, he is a legend, but the time is right

                thing is Sami never had any pace. He is still useful but I accept he isnt getting younger and is starting to creak a bit.
                I wouldnt mind if we got Taylor or Richards in the Jan window

                  Ideal signing is Ricahards, he can cover the centre back position when required and play at right back all other times, kind of like Lillian Thuram for France.

                    yup, thing is Richards (i think) seems to want to move into the CB position on a permanent basis, dunno if he would be happy coming to us just to play the odd game at cb. But he would be ideal.
