This is actually how we played WITH Paco. He's been here since Rafa came and this is our traditional **** start.

good call. one 6-0 game against a promoted side and we think we've reached the moutain top. we play dour counter attacking football in normal mode. tonight it was just crap.

Agree. The poor performances seem to have coincided with Paco's departure. I wonder if this is not just a coincidence.

Since he left people like Xabi and Carra have come out and said how close the players were to Paco and we all know Rafa is not the type of manager to get close to players, so may be they are missing something.

I don't know. I'm just rambling from the shock.

We got the team wrong tonight, started badly and got what we deserved.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Apart from two good wins against Toulouse and Derby, who were both terrible, we have been dreadful at home this season. Conversely, apart from two poor draws at Portsmouth and Porto, we've looked better away from home. It seems Rafa has addressed our away day problems but transferred them to Anfield...

don't think Pako leaving has helped but these are top players here.

Steive's been off form so we pair him with Momo on a very greasy pitch and hey presto no ball retention.

Marseille along with thier catchy songs we very well organised and gave us nothing - can't help feel a certain Mr Zenden helped , they stopped our full backs having any outlet and as said our midfield was dire game over.

ONly glimmer came when Yossi apeared in the middle
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

Yes thats right. Maybe dour is not the right word but crikey we often lack creativity and the ability to make something out of nothing. The first half was just woeful. If that form is taken to Man U, Arsenal, hell even Spurs this weekend we'll get creamed. Some of the touch tonight from professional footballers was just abysmal. Hopefully we have bottomed out now and that game is the last in a run. Maybe the break will work for us this time?

So was PAco something more than a fitness manager?

I think the club needs a link between the manager and the players with Rafa being the kind of manager he is.

Looks like Pako previously filled this role so the players are obviously going to miss him.

the team we played should of been good enough - thats why we have a squad

a kick up the arse could just be what the team needed

That's one hell of a typo.
                              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
