    A bit of perspective please

Just off for some well needed kip , its nearly 5.30 am over here. But I wanted to put a thread up that was not all our players are ****. Sure that was ****ing horrible tonight, truly. Not a lot you can say about it really. The best thing that can be said is hopefully it will act as a giant kick up the arse for all concerned.

But also lets take stock. Sure we are having a bad patch, but we are having that bad patch with still the possibility of going 2nd in the Lg with out game in hand. Only conceding one goal from open play, all our strikers finding the net and the two players which we a missing badly nearing a most welcome return.

We have lost our Assistant coach, our first choice center back and a player some people are only now realizing how good he truly was Xabi … Yet here we are with the possibility of going 2nd in the Lg and in in all cup competitions.

Sure we need to sort it out but lets not go losing our heads… Winning at Wigan was more important that this game if you ask me

The worrying thing is that we're going into games with Spurs, Everton and Arsenal in awful form - with an International break in the midst of it. A poor time to hit a very poor run of form.

Might be exactly what we need. Some tough games to get the blood up as opposed to some supposedly easy games where our application is missing.

We weren't playing well against Porto but then Pennant got sent off and we were under pressure so not sure if that is the best match to judge us.

I thought Porto were ****e by the way

The result is one thing. Sure we are sad about the result, but my feeling is that the vast majority of fans are really concerned about the poverty of our play. The motivation is suspect when we only roused ourselves when 1-0 down. The distribution from the back is shocking. WTF is going on with the long ball every time. We have technically poor players like Riise, Sissoko, Kuyt who have a woeful first touch. And how can we expect fluent attacking football when every week the players are getting to know each other again. Rafa is now telling us how organised the other team were as usual. Who gives a **** about the other team Rafa. No matter how a team come to Anfield and set themselves up, we should wipe the floor with them. Rafa needs to sort it out and Spurs is a big game now.

We were truly awful, but I agree that this could be the kick up the arse we need

Spot on ... A shower of Feckless *******s ... some of those useless ****ers deserve a football boot in the head in the dressing room after that performance .. worst European home performance I think I have ever seen .. the fact we only starting to play when the clock hit 90 minutes made it all the more infuriating

One bad game FFS - We'll still win the league

And qualify from our CL group. This is the kick up the arse we needed. Spurs will get battered at the weekend. 3-0 IMO.
