While i agree that rotation is all part of the modern game, to be changing half the side week in week out is utterly ridiculous and while this continues we will never get any kind of the neccesary consistency to challenge for the league.

IMO, this season seems to be panning out as one that promised much, but will deliver little if we continue in the current vein.

Couldn't agree more. I felt sorry for Momo & Crouch last night. How the hell can they play to their best when they come into the side every 3rd or 4th game.

The same 11 can't play every week but this changing half the team lark is OTT in my book. Players need to play, to get match sharp, to work on partnerships on the field. Every ex player you listen too says the same, surely Rafa can see that.

We play Arsenal at the end of the month. Before that we play Spurs & the Bitter whilst they have home games against Sunderland & Bolton. They could easily be 6 points ahead of us by then. If they were to beat us, title challenge virtually over.

If were aren't carefull we won't have any big games in April/May for Torres and co. to be fresh for.

i agree totally but we have always been the best fans in the world and as fans there are times when we should be rewarded for our unrivalled support. i understand we can not always win and decisions can go against us. but to lie down like that.............

steve and carra should remember their days in the stands and tell the team to cop to **** on and remember that we as fans have been there through thick and thin......

so many played with no pride for the jersey last night....

unacceptable boys, time to re-pay the fans at anfield sunday, at least martin jol will have something to remember about his last game in charge
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Rafa should stop planning for games we may not even play. The next game is always the most important one, not a game we may play in March, April or May.

Right now he is planning for fantasy games.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Exactly what Souness said, get to a base where the team is in the driving seat challenging and then think of resting players, What use a superfit player when all you are challenge for is 4th place?
          We come not to play.

In Rafa's mind rotation and resting key players is the right strategy as his teams have got to a cup final in May in each of the last four seasons, winning three of them.

However, you need to be far more consistent to win the league - especially in England where you need to get at least 90 points to finish first whereas in Spain 80 points should win you the title.

Yes, I agree with that assessment. I still don't think Rafa has got to grips with what it takes to win the Premiership.
I think it would take a change in philosophy from Rafa which I'm not sure he's capable of. The question is, what do Hicks and Gillette make of recent events. They won't be pleased by our run of form or the reaction from the fans.

I don't think there is a coincidence that we won the CL the season we had a very long injury list so Rafa didn't had any other choice than play with the players he had available and it wasn't that many.

Alonso, Gerrard, Carra, Baros, Cisse, Smicer, Kewell and so on was out injured that season for two months plus.

Bit of an over reaction there mate we've only lost one game this season. Yes last night was **** and we've been a bit off the boil the last 2 or 3 games but I very much doubt Gillet and Hicks have given it a thought.
**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.
