    Taiwo

    I thought he looked a top quality left back last night and definately a step up on what we currently have. Looked big, strong and appeared to have great pace. Covered his other defenders well and was never troubled all night and made a great stop on the line from Torres at the end. For me entire left side is dreadfully weak and left back in particular needs addressing. Could this Taiwo be an option?

    Alpha's been on about him for years.

    I agree with all your points, he doesn't **** around with it either, likes to cross it in the box early when he overlaps.

      He has a Riise-esque left foot as well.

        he's a great young prospect at only 22, the prem would be a step up from liege 1 but he seems good enough to take the step, i think he will leave Marseille next year, should we be in for him though????

            I think the Porto right back would be quite a handy player too (he played against us the other week) - he was great at defending and even better going forward

              I actually thought that as well this morning. We already have a great defence but possibly need some younger faces in there with a bit of extra pace. That Taiwo looked to have a lot of pace and ability and Jose Bosingwa the Porto right back looked very good as well. Neither would be to much surely and would strengthen us in an attacking sense as well. Perhaps that Steven Taylor in at centre half also.

                I was going to mention to keep an eye on Taiwo in the Riise thread. He doesnt score many goals...but he is very solid defensively, and overlaps nicely.

                  Any snippets yourself?Are you hinting at possible targets?
                  Are you the SCarter who told us about the Paletta deal and others?

                  Taylor would be a good signing and Bosingwa had a super game that night be we are solid at right back.
