Read my posts again. I've never said that there were any racists abuse specifically last night. I was hinting at the possibility that frustration could lead to an out of place remark, I've seen it before, so please don't tell me it could never happen.

Well I was in the Kop last night for my first ever game, guy sitting next to me couldn't shut up about Sissoko, went on and on about how **** he is, rather than cheering & giving encouragement. Was it just me or was the atmosphere quite dour last night? Sitting there in the kop and all I could hear for most of the game was the Away fans singing away

What do you mean by substandard effort ? I think we played poorly last night, nothing to do with 'not wanting' to put the effort. That's the view from the armchair where I was, so if you tell me some players didn't put the required effort last night I'll believe you. But that could also be down to confidence.
