Its the one part of his game that is piss poor.

Its even worse when Xabi/ Masher doesn't play, they actually gives him an outlet for a short pass. The others just run as far away as possible it seems.

I love Carra, and all he stands for. But there is a part of me that would love to see another ball playing CB partnering Agger. Someone like Mexes would be fantastic.

We have some of the finest players in football, but i cant for the life of me work out why we hit so many balls aimlessly up field. Its rediculous.

I have two gripes with Carra too.
        1. He's not perfect.
        2. He's not younger.
        3. There aren't more of him.
        4. He proved me wrong when I thought he wouldn't reach the standard he has.
        5. He's just proved I can't count.

It's good to have high standards but come on, isn't there a danger of taking criticism too far?
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Carra's distribution is poor because our midfield doesn't ask for the ball and if they do they aren't in a good position to do something with it. If you analyze the way we play, Agger is guilty of poor passing at times also. That's not because they aren't capable but more because our movement is poor. His primary role is to defend and he should ideally pass the ball 2 yards to the nearest midfielder asking for it. Our lack of movement is the main culprit as regards our hoofing from the back.

But when it comes to chasing a game he should be kept as far away for the ball as possible.

My second problem is that I really wish he would consider a short pass every now and again.

Passing isn't one of Carragher's many strengths, but with Agger in the side, who can hit a ball and stride forward (and Riise not playing at LB in ione of his hoof-it moods too) that isn't so much of a problem. With Sami in the side it does become a bit more obvious in the circumstances you describe, although it really shouldn't matter with the other players we have on the pitch.

He didn't have a lot to aim for on Wed was sat in anny road lower so had a similar view as him. And if Crouch is on he will hoof it up there as both Momo and Stevie were no where to be seen.

His passing aint the best in the world but its far from the worse, but then that's why you have partnerships in defence and other area's i.e. Carra and Agger are a very good partnerships. Again been mentioned when Xabi, Masher player they come and get the ball as did Didi.

As for Sami's passing is it me or when he passes from defensive postions there crap but when's he's in the opo penalty box there sublime.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

I'm kinda with the Old man on this one. Still, Carra does hoof. So does Sami. We badly need Agger back. Losing him has hurt the team more than anything else.
