          People have different opinions.

You happen to think Utd and Liverpool fans can enjoy great banter and all sit around merrily reading the sun if they want. I and 99.9% of people in the real world disagree but hey ho.

At the start of the season everyone was trying extra hard to force their way in to Rafa's plans. Once it becomes apparant that you'll get dropped / selected no matter how well / bad you play, that motivation is gone. I think that we haven't put in a single decent performance since the Derby game. But, we also haven't had Agger, Alonso or Paco since then so I'll leave it to Rafa to make up his own mind.

The problem as I see it with rotation is that a player isn't rewarded when he has played a good game. He can be dropped just because another player need to play to stay match fit and at the same time a player that played a bad game get a chance the next game again.

If a player shows that he is in good form then he should play the next game.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Thats not how it works. It works dependant on the opposition at the time. For example, Torres and Kuyt play together one week at home to Sunderland. They play great and each get a goal or two. Our next game is away in Europe to Weder Bremen. Crouch is going to play because he is more of a use in Europe and they wont have an idea on how to play against him. Its horses for courses not a case of just changing it for ****s and giggles.

best team for the next the game might not be the last team and when we have a big squad its unlikley ever to be.

Plus we do have to look ahead.

and as for the argument a player plays well and doesn't play next match not being rewarded, how about the 50k per week so they realise they are playing to win a championship not player of the month.
If players do see not playing after playing well as being dropped then they are are stupid and living in the 80's.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

Any player who treats it like that will not be at Liverpool for long, the better players play more games and surely want to keep trying to stay in the spine of the squad? The squad players will want to prove they are better than the rest in there positions to be involved in more and bigger matches.
You could say the same thing if there is no rotation, the players who play every week will know they wont get dropped and the players waiting to get there chance will get demotivated due to them thinking they will never get a game.

Alonso/Mascherano were bonding well until Alonso's injury. Between Gerrard, Momo and Mascherano so far this season, mascherano has been the better player (even tho he has been very dodgy in the last couple of outings) so it made sense to rest him for Spurts given everyone thought Marsielle would roll over. Torres and Kuyt is our best strike option and yep, Id play them more often than not.
Sometimes you need to build momentum and confidence against the lesser sides. Then you start to rotate a little. Shifting 5 players against Pompey away after a 6-0 win is over confident and not very clever.

Anyway - enjoy the match Sunday! I think we will see a change for the better

                          Which 5 players got shifted?

Mascherano got back frm Oz about 2 days before so resting him was more than understandable, Gerrard had a broken toe and should never have played for England but was bullied into it, Torres, well he shouldve prob started. Who else was there? Out of those 3 you can argue succesfully that only one shouldve started.

If we get turned over on sunday tho, dont blame rotation

                            Carra in instead of Hyppia.

Mascherano, Babel, Torres and Kuyt should all have started against Pompey. With Gerrard out you play Mascher. Even if he went to the moon. Not Mono and Alonso at CM.

Does anyone actually understand why Rafa MUST rotate. Answers on a post card. If you can't answer this question then your opinion is invalid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rafa must rotate because we have a big squad. Players that don't play won't be match fit when/if we need them.

There you go. A very simple answer, but not on a postcard.

If we sold some of the players we don't really need then it would be less rotation but it may/may not hurt us in five/six months time.
