Carra's long balls are getting more and more annoying + what poor defendin for Robbie Keanes 1st goal.

We were ok the first half, nothing more.

We seemed to be looking at the difficult pass first, but to be honest, we couldn't complete the simple passes.

We hoofed from defence, but not only that, we hoofed it without looking for a red shirt.

If we couldn't run straight through the marker we lost the possession. Nobody, other than Benny and at times Pennant, was actually able to take a player on.

We could not string 2 passes together in the second half, and that second half was on par with the Marseille performance.

Gerrard has been average at best this season.

Carra has been average at best this season, and was particularly poor over the last two games including today. He and Hyypia left a huge gap for their first and I think it was up to Carra to close it.

Hyypia lost out on almost every cross through to Keane or Berbatov.

Babel was the wrong choice to bring on at that stage, Benny should have been brought on. It was a very difficult period of the game for us and bringing on a new lad who's struggled so far when we have a seasoned pro like Benny on the bench who can actually skin players was madness.

Voronin played well, but should've gone for goal himself instead of feeding the ball to an underachieving Gerrard.

Torres is standing out as the best player we have at the moment. Gerrard needs to sort it out and worry about Liverpool first and England second. I don't care if Rooney is your England team mate, him scoring for Manure is not good news.

Poor, poor game. We need a drastic turnaround here, a couple of high scoring wins against poor opposition has really covered over the cracks, but the fans are now starting to worry.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

          who have we played though??

Chelsea and we failed to win, it was our easiest start for years....we really should be on maximum points outside of the Chelsea game now tbh if we were serious about challenging.

Arsenal drew aswell on that Sunday and theyve won all their games since.
Lets all calm down guys. It was not a great performance but it was no Marseille either. We should have been 3-0 up but we did not take our chances. I thought we played well until that 2 goal robbie keane salvo. It was one of those days where every shot was going inches wide. Some of our movement in the first half was neat.

If there was anybody whom I would blame it would be Hyppia, Carra and Gerrard. For a time in the second half I thought it was Mascher who was the attacking midfielder.

I really really hope Gerrard pulls out of the England Game. He needs to rest and come back with all cylinders firing. This team is crying out for him.
hear hear! he should follow Carra's decision and just retire from that monkey set up.

As for us today, it did seem that we had a lot of chances in the first half, didnt take all of them and then had 2 sloppy errors. Can people let me know if a draw was a fair result or were we(or spurs) robbed? were we as bad as people have said we were?

2-2 was fair. There were periods where they were on top, and periods where we battered them.

He was also at fault for the second goal because when you see your partner challenging a striker in the air, you have to get close to the other striker to prevent him from having space to run into the flick on. It's basic defending. In both occasions Carra was in no man's land.

Well, those of you who were pissed off at me when I was ranting about our result at Pompey and was talking about the **** that was going to happen ... Calm down! Like you've said after the Pompey match, "the season ain't over yet". FLMAO, you're as much pissed off (or even more) as I was back then ...

bollocks. There's no way we'll win the league this year. Roll on 2008/09 season

We were abysmal the second half and although we did ok (nothing more in the first half) Spurs took their chances. The second half was on par with Marseille, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

A fair result, maybe, but we are not two equal teams and therefore, Spurs deserved the edge.

cheers fella, read the Beeb review and it didnt really give much of a fair picture, indicated we were disjointed but were all over them in the first.

The way I see it, it is disappointing we dropped points, but perhaps we needed to begin our fightback by clawing inch by inch. Maybe the Torres goal is a real marker for us, and can give us something to build upon?

Not going to go over the performance, but at least we put on a better show than our previous run outs. I'm just glad that we've got a fortnight now to try and sort things, give rafa a bit of time to think and the players a bit of time to reflect.

I hope rafa told them to **** off after the game and make sure they turn back up at melwood after the internationals with their bollocks because they haven't had them since the last break.

Played well first half, we were all at sea when they scored a second, we pulled it back round at the end though and kept going. I'm not half as angry as you lot but the three points would have been handy....still, we stole a point which is better than nothing.

why is it that Rooney can come back from his metatarsal injury in double quick time and our boys are still weeks away?
