and dont start me off with ya cant get tickets/i work/cant afford it bollox

that may be a fact but it is plain that someone spending fortunes watchin and followng liverpool feels it more

or perhaps you and ya cronies know better
What are you on? It's not even as simple as not being able to afford it although hey, some people might not be able to. They might have families to support and not be able to afford £34 a week. Point is, not everyone who wants a ticket can get a ticket cos the ground only holds so many. It doesn't make them less of a fan than you. Also, I do go to the game. My reason for not going today is none of your business and I'm not going to justify it to someone so bloody ignorant as yourself.

I have to agree. It was much better than usual in the Kop today and as a result the whole ground was better than normal.

Well having not been there I defer to you and the glove. It just goes to show how bad things are though when people who were there can say it was a lot better than usual but all I hear on the box is shall we sing a song for you, super totnum, and Anfield's a library

Like I say I was there and it was a decent atmosphere. Not CL semi against the chavs standards but better than against teams like Birmingham etc...

It's supposed to be a section where fans start songs. It doesn't seem nearly big enough to have that much of an effect though.

Its where they place the microphones. The noise on the Kop nearly always starts at the back and with the micro phones pitchside they dont pick it up as much as having the away fans pratically sitting on them.

Another question, is it the style of play (e.g. exciting, thrilling etc) that leads to a heaving, kicking crowd full of singing and atmosphere?

                              or

Is it vice versa where the crowd inspires the team?

Depends on the situation. A bit of both at times really.
