He's proven to be World Class for us and probably our best midfielder so far this season.

We have the money so lets buy him simple as......but dont we have first refusal on him???

We probably do, we should use the money we have on Sissoko and Crouch to buy him

If we didnt have the money I'd urge Rafa to sell Alonso aswell just to make the money.

Giving up on Masch is like Carra playing for Chelsea

I would be upset if we kept sissoko and didn't keep masch. That would be a waste.

however, it doesn't make sense to sign him up now. Lets worry about it closer to next summer.

Also, the price is already pre-agreed anyway so can't see the club NOT signing him, even if all we do is sell him on for a profit.

i think he will stay, we do need him and rafa knows this, i doubt he hasnt enjoyed his time already spent here so why would he leave??? realistically he will only go to spain or italy if he didnt stay here so id say valencia, real madid, juve and ac milan would be interested in him out of those and here, i know were i'd choose anyway.

We must do everything we can to keep Masher, he's a perfect foil for SG. As a defensive midfielder he's in a different class to Momo. He'll cost plenty but class always does.

Maybe I should explain why I think it's a crap rumour.

Mascherano has already agreed personal terms beyond this season with us.

The deal is already agreed, fixed transfer fee and personal terms. It's up to us if we want to keep him or not. MSI can't change the transfer fee.

I doubt that Rafa want to keep an unhappy player so if he really want to leave then he will probably be allowed to do that after we signed him and made a profit on him.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I've always maintained that Mascherano will go. He's controlled by Joorabchian. It makes no sense for him to stay at a club for any length of time. Joorabchian will continue to whore Tevez and Mascherano around Europe every couple of years to get signing on fees.
It's common sense, Joorabchian holds the aces.

There is an interview in this weeksd LFC Magazine (out tomorrow) in which Mascherano expresses his wish to be still at the club so he can play in the new stadium

                                All well in theory but

UEFA / FIFA will stop 3rd party ownership in the next year or two

Secondly the deal with Mascherano is a loan with a view to a permanent deal (just like Tevez's deal with Man U)

Its up to us NOT Joorabchian, otherwise it would be no different to West Hams arrangement with him
