My opinion is that Pennant has been oone of our most consistant players since Christmas and deserves his shirt. Otheres will feel that he is just "not good enough for Liverpool"

Why pick on Pennant? easy target because of his off field reputation? The players who's form have dropped dramatically over the last few weeks are Gerrard and Carragher, if you want to have a pop have a pop at them but I don't understand why we have to slag off our players everytime the squad goes through a dip in form - it happens at every club, every team, it's part of the game so get over it. Pennant has done nothing wrong over the last few footballing months and if anything is to blame for our loss of form it's this poxy rotation bollox.

He's done very little right though.

I think the only part he's played in any goal this season has been when he passed it to Yossi against Wigan and I think even the most pro-Pennant supporter will agree that Yossi had a helluva lot to do to finish that move off. Giving Pennant credit for an assist there would be the same as giving Tony Le Tallec the assist for King Luis' wonder goal against Juve.

Pennant sees a ridiculous amount of the ball but does very little of consequence with it. His last cross that lead to a goal was back in April. He has scored once since joining the club. This compared to the season before when Gerrard scored a dozen times from the same position, if not more.

In Rafa's system you need, or rather expect, goals from all over the pitch and if your wide midfielders are not putting the ball in the net or getting chances then something is seriously wrong.

I think it was the Birmingham game when, on MoTD, Hansen highlighted Pennant's lack of interest when it comes to attacking the ball in the box. As I've already mentioned elsewhere his poor attitude allowed Robinson to get his kick away as the first-half came to a close on Sunday, yes the defence should have dealt with it but the little things like that really annoy me because it looks like he just doesn't care.
