Cech vs Reina

I've seen a few of these goalkeeper vs goalkeeper threads around and was wondered what everyone here thought. Who would you rather have if you had the option, Reina or Cech?

Obviously would prefer no debates and stuff, just simple opinions.

Reina for me.

Cech hasn't quite been the same since his bad injury, and Reina is only going to get better.

Pepe is wildly underrated by people who don’t watch him every week. It’s alarming and irritating how many people think he’s a liability. I know we all bang on about his sweeping ability but for many non Reds this doesn’t even seem to get noticed. Reina snuffs out most of the danger before it happens. It’s less spectacular than having to make save after save – like keepers like Carson and Given – but it makes him a better keeper IMO.

They're both brilliant keepers. Difficult to separate them but I agree with Shaggy, Cech seems to have had a dip in form since his injury.

Hand on heart though, I would not swap Reina for any other keeper in world football. He may well be the best keeper we've ever had, rivaling Clemence.

Defend deep- Cech
Push defence forward- Reina

Reina is right for us and Cech is right for Chelsea.

We need to squash this notion that Reina is a mere goalkeeper. He is a goalsweeper and that alone puts him ahead of the mortals.

Cech is the better keeper in my book. Reina is still improving and may reach Cech's level but he's not there yet. Reina is still prone to flap at the odd cross or two and I still think his decision making could be better when comong off his line.

Both are top notch but hand on heart Cech edges it for me.

Reina for me, without a doubt. He is much more mobile, has FAR superior distribution to Cech, I've watched their distribution for a long time now and I think this point shouldn't be overlooked. Cech's distribution is pretty much non-existant, Reina pinpoints throws, shots, hoofs perfectly. Reina just suits us very well.

As for who i'd prefer, very hard to choose, both are excellent keepers, great shot stoppers, dominate the box, great reflexes and both are still young and will improve.. Both have had dips in form (Pepe when he joined us was poor on crosses, Cech after his injury)

I'd go for Pepe, as he seems to be able to improve himself every season and also works well as a sweeper keeper.

I dont feel one bit sorry for that waster happy to sit on the bench and collect the money while he wasted his talent.
