My Dad. End of story. Used to buy me all the kits back in the day, lfc videos, posters etc etc.
Took me over to Anfield at an early age, my love for Liverpool took off from there onwards.
I occasionally act the gimp on here hence people don't realise how much of a fan i am, i'm a diehard boys and girls, a ****in diehard, it's been embedded in me from an early age.
    Thank you please.

as a kid i went to all the liverpool home games with one grandad and all the everton ones with another, im from a mixed marriage. it all changed for me though when bill shankly came to our school and give me a trophy for leading goal scorer for the u 11s. i would also of followed everton had we not been around and failing that, i would of went across the water and followed tranmere which my bluenose grandad often took me on friday nights if the wrestling wasnt on

I am born and bred in Liverpool and my parents were careful enough to have never dropped me on my head - hence I support Liverpool.

If Liverpool never existed I would only have Everton to consider and would therefore deem football to be a pastime for bitter people who spit as they talk. I would probably have written witty short stories and be part of the intelligenstia.

My Dad's family were all Reds. So were my Mum's. He claimed to be related to Ian Rush on the basis of being from Flint and the family nose...

We're definitely related to Charlie Ashcroft who played in goal after the war and once got MOM in a game despite Billy Liddell scoring a hat-trick in it.

btw according to family history, Uncle Charlie said that Liddell was adamant that he'd never met Neil Young.

Great to hear about old fellas taking their sons and grandsons to the games.
As for Shankly, that is very, very cool.

Did you get a picture of that?

My older brother indoctrinated me from an early age

One of me earliest memories is watching us win the '77 final against Borussia Monchengladbach - I remember that I couldn't pronounce their name.

I liked watching Hoddle play, so (grimaces) I could have been a Spurs fan if I didn't have an older brother, I suppose

Would definitely have been Everton, spent my early years in Garston living next door to the Everton goalkeeper Albert Dunlop.Gives you some idea off the wage structure at the time,it was a tiny terrace house with outside toilet and gas lighting and him and his wife were living there with his mum and dad.
He did everything to get me to Goodison, thank god I had no interest in football till after I had left there at eleven.

My Mum was taking the Anfield Tour and went into labour in the Kop end goal.

I was born in the Kop goal.
