great player mind. really impressed with him.
He's playing well for the Argies tonight. Superb player. I'd rather we kept this lad and sold Momo.

A midfield of Babel, Mascherano, Alonso and Gerrard is what we need to be using going forward. That midfield has everything and not least the ability to control a match, something we haven't done in recent weeks.

I can't be arsed getting into a debate with you on this. We all know that you've had a hard on for Mascherano and Joorbichan since we signed him, you let us know as much at the time.

I don't know for a fact I can only go on what Rafa and other said when the deal was done.

Nah, Gerrard back on the right where he can roam and attack is what we need, imho.

                I guess we will.

I know that you're desperate to be proved right so that you can tell everyone "I told you so!" So we'll leave it at that for now, eh?

masher did an interview the other day saying he wants to stay if rafa wants him (and i'm sure rafa does)

the fee- of which we have first refusal- is 17.5m. the reason we haven't paid is that FIFA are looking into 3rd party ownerships and may make a ruling on it before the end of the season- the outcome of which may well mean paying less than the 17.5m. which makes sense to me

so where the daily mail have got that barca can outbid us from baffles me somewhat

barca must be in the hunt for a midfielder as fabregas agent was on about them yesterday as well.

I was going to include Kewell but seeing as he's hardly ever fit I thought that Babel seemed the obvious choice. I can't really think of anyone else, apart from Riise, who could play out there.

Pennant's okay for the right sort of matches but against teams like the filth I'm not so sure he's as effective as we would like.

but I doubt that Rafa will play that formation.

The best holding midfielder in the world plays as the holding midfielder

Our best playmaker plays as the playmaker.

Our best right midfielder plays on the right.

Our best left midfielder plays on the left.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

He does and according to what Rafa and Parry said at the time he's agreed to let us have first refusal for £18,000,000.

                          Do keep up, mate.

I remember West Ham's bosses saying similar things about Tevez and look what happened there
