    Heinze

    It won't go away.

Liverpool have not given up on their pursuit of former Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze. The Reds are keen to bring the Real Madrid defender back to England. (some Sunday rag)

Personally, although he'd gone into a bit of a decline at United, I thought he'd have been a good signing for us and the recent injury to Agger has highlighted just why Rafa wanted him.

Does anyone know if he's playing regularly for Real? Any chance of us bringing him in in January? It'd be worth it just to see the look on Purple Nose's horrible face.

He didn't play any competitive games for Man U this season so would be allowed to play for us.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Said it all along we needed him and even more so with Agger being injured.

No idea if he's playing much for Real but it was mooted it was a stepping stone to us.

That would be classic. sign him in Jan

the look on slur alex's face would be a sight to behold

as would the sight of him kicking gary (****face) neville into the stretford end when we play them at old toilet
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

His move to Real happened incredibly quickly after he lost the court case.

Perhaps this was all a part of the plan? LFC and Rafa were so fiercely determined to land him, and so confident that we would, that it seemed strange how quickly we seemed to raise the white flag and let him move to Real within hours of the end of the court case.

It was as though the move to Real had already been set up. Maybe we realised that an appeal would carry us beyond the transfer deadline and a temporary, six month 'loan' to Real was a more efficient way of bringing him in...eventually.

                ?

The problem with that theory is that the appeal should have been heard before the deadline but they changed the date to after it for some unknown reason.

Probably because they hoped that Man U would sell him to someone else so they could get out of this mess without doing anything as usual.

I think it was just a case of Heinze had his backup option with Real, and rather than waste another 6 months of his career sitting on the bench for the mancs if he didn't win his appeal, he moved to them to play footy. I'd be interested to see what would happen if we did make an offer for him, but I suppose it depends on how well he's playing for Madrid come December, it's not like they need to do us any favours is it.

That is the key. Don't also forget he will not be eligible for CL matches (if we are still in it obviously). If he is playing well and still wants to join us in Jan, Rafa should go the extra mile to get him - he has shown the right mentality and will be an absolute ****in legend if he joined.

BTW did he play last night for Argentina v Chile? How did he do?

maybe it was a sort of "loan" tyoe situation.

hes ****, and i find all this 'lets sign heinze to make fergie angry' stuff really smalltime, we're much bigger and better than that, id rather make him angry by finishing above them which would mean becoming champions

heinze isnt worth £7k let alone £7m

I doubt it RM are doing us favours after we took one of their star prospects in Bruno as they are apparently furious about losing him...
