Michael Owen available for 6 million

According to many of the newspapers, Owen will be available for 6 million pounds in the summer.

The times has run a similar story.

Forget how he screwed us over and all those emotions.

From a pure footballing point of view even with his injuries I think 6 million for a player of his caliber is a bargain. I think the rotation system will be ideal for him to prolong his career.

When he is injured Torres,Kuyt and the Crow will provide adequate cover.
And I think it will save us some moolah which we can spend on a top quality winger.

If true, it would be the best value for money possible to the club.

But rafa is still feeling sour over him.

I couldn't give a ****e if Owen was to sit on the bench for the rest of his career if he joined us. If we can get him for 6mil in the summer then Rafa should offer 10 in january and get him back to a proper state.

        Owen and Torres

I'm unsure about this one. A move for Owen would have a lot of positives but there are negatives as well, the most glaring one is that he is forever injured.

                6 million FFS!

Would you refuse Kaka for 6 million if you knew he would be injured the majority of the time?

If there is any truth in these reports then we should definitely be interested.

A striker of Owen's calibre for £6M is a bargain in anyone's language.

If he does well for fat Sam's army this season he'd be worth bidding for.

I'm an Owen fan - but I'd prefer Anelka back.
