    Van der Vaart

I don't know how reliable this site is.....

Liverpool will make a cheeky swoop for want away dutch international Rafael van der Vaart.

Van der Vaart has reiterated has decision to leave Hamburg after they rejected offers from other clubs for their star player in the summer.

Liverpool could hit a stumbling block due to Rafael's heart being set on Spain.

"I want to go to Spain, and that is the end of it, In May,Hoffmann came to me and asked how they could make me happier.

"I said that I wanted to move to Spain and that I would always like to consider any such offers, and he agreed. Then a team came in, and suddenly I am not for sale at any price.

"I arrived for five million euros and then HSV could have earned 22, and nobody at the club wanted to discuss it. I cannot understand that."

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Ehh, he is a world class attacking playmaker and probably the best player in Bundesliga right now.

Well, he is available for €1.5m next summer. I don't think you can get a world class player any cheaper if he isn't a Bosman.

It would be crazy if we at least didn't made an offer when is available on the cheap. He is the type of player we need.

Van Der Vaart is a top quality player, great left foot, bags of creativity and a real touch of class.

He could give us the kind of creative magic we need to unlock defences. He's the type of player we have been missing and can play as an attacking midfielder or on the left.

I'd love to see him in a red shirt.

He has scored seven goals in the Bundesliga this season.

He's got 37 goals in 71 games for Hamburg.

                          Great return for a midfielder.

Don't watch any German football but from reports I read in the press he seems to be replicating his early Ajax form on a regular enough basis.

I think he stagnated towards the end of his Ajax career and the fresh start has done him good. A move to a big club like us could be exactly what he needs at this stage of his career.

Only thing I'd be worried about is that he tends to be a bit injury prone.

AF, VDV is a class act, has recaptured his magestic form since playing in Germany and would be a real asset to Liverpool.

But he is a damn sight short of being world class.
