Agree we wouldn't get £20-25m for those 4 & wouldn't entertain the notion of getting rid of Finnan at this moment. Couldn't see us getting more than £8m for Crouch as he'll only have 18 months left on his contract but would expect to get around £6m for RiiseOriginally posted by DJS View PostCant see those four bringing in £20m...Crouch maybe £10m and Riise about £4m. Kewell's contract's up in the summer so he's worthless and Finnan's too old to fetch much.
And i really dont think there's any world class centre back who'd happily come to LFC as 'cover'.
The question about the centre back is are we looking for cover or are we looking for a top class centre back to push Carra & Agger for a first team place. Don't get me wrong, I love them both and hope they'll be around for a long time but it's not healthy to be assured of your place because like it or not complacency will set in and neither's position has been put under pressure for some time and both are automatic starters when fit. You saw how Finnan raised his game when he had competition, IMO same has to happen at CBAt a football club there's a holy trinity- the players the manager and the supporters, Directors dont come into it, they are only there to sign the cheques " - Bill Shankly

16 to 18 mil tops IMO
Wouldn't be selling Finnan though
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

mate, there is no way Rafa would spunk all the budget on the players youve mentioned. Why on earth would he buy a "world class cb" and then stick him at lb? Queresma haha! did you see him play against us? ok he looked tricky but how many crosses did he put in and out of those how many caused us problems? He is a player who has no substance and is vastly vastly overpriced.Originally posted by pezzzer View Postriise out
crouch out
finnan out (harsh but he is knocking on)
kewell out
that should bring in 20-25 mil. add that to the 20 mil reportedly left in the kity and bring in
1 world class winger (quaresma please)
one world class centre back who can cover left back
and NO more central midfielders
that should do it
For what it's worth I wouldnt be surprised if the players you've mentioned get shipped out and we get in someone like Heinze and maybe a little gem from Spain .

i think this is realistic and could happen
OUT:
crouch 10 million
kewell 1.5 million
riise 6 million
momo 6 million
IN:
anelka 10 million
quaresma 17.5 million
chillini 8 million
net spend works out at 12 million"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

I do try to value people's opinions, but I disagree completely with one thing - Chillini. I wouldn't even class Chillini as average. I've seen him play a few times and I've not been impressed with him at all and could not understand why we were/are linked with him.My kebab comes with chilli sauce

I agree. It would take millions to replace a player like Finnan and even then it would probably be some over paid foreigner who couldn't tackle his way out of a paper bag. Finnan is a Liverpool fc legend and I've seen nothing this year to suggest that he's even close to losing it.Originally posted by redblood View PostYou've completely discredited yourself with that statment.
