I hear Dublin's good in the air.

Could be a good replacement for Crouchie.

Drogba would cost too much for a player who will be past his prime in a year or two.

            Excuse me??
Why would I want LFC to buy a player for an extortionate price who is nearing thirty when they can splash the cash on a younger striker mid 20's where you know if he's a success you'll have this player for another 7 yrs at least?? Torres is 23, Dogsh*t is 29.

I actually can't believe you'd want us to sign Drogba by 31 he'll be another Henry on the decline, do you actually realise we are building for the future and not for tomorrow?

Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

I don't think Drogba is in decline to be honest and plenty of players have played good football post 30. Obviously he is unlikely to improve but he is probably the most effective striker in the country so it is not a big problem. It is often forgotten that building for the future generally starts with success today.

Not that he would ever be sold to us but I don't want Drogba here because I frankly don't like him or his attitudes to the game. I know he would make us a better team but I have an emotional reaction against him. However if he came and was a success for us or helped us win the league then my feelings would probably change.

                Outstanding forward.
I'd say he's got another 3 -4 top level seasons in him. Love to sign him, unfortunately chavs wont sell to us.

Agreed - I don't mean to be petty but I said by the age of 31 he'll be on the decline.

Rafa would LOVE Drogba. He's everything he wants / wanted from Kuyt and Crouch.

I'd be happy for us to sign him, but wouldn't want us to pay over the odds. For 15M, he'd be a worthwhile signing.

                        No.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Fair enough. I'm not sure that you can be sure of that. For me the first season of Drogba at Chelsea when he wasn't on form and was struggling to adapt is very telling - he still managed to be a great role player for them. I think that is the worst we could expect from him. Added to that I think he would retain value in that like Henry and van Nistelrooy he will have resale potential to Spain/Italy.

But we could win the title for those two years.

I think Drogba's game depends a lot on his physical presence and pace. he's probably not the greatest technically. If his physical attributes diminish, which they will in next two years or so, then he won't be the same player.

Look at Shevchenko -another player who relied on power and pace. He loses half a yard and doesn't look the same player.

The only players who continue to be as effective into their mid-late thirties are intelligent technical players like Zola and Sheringham.

Errr, Shevchenko relied on power and pace?

                                You sure about that?
