I think it's a strong team for a physical derby game and Benni can give us a bit of flair and creativity out wide. Fancy Gerrard to do a lot of damage from the right today. I think it is what he needs, let the shackles off him!!

Agree on the passing point. Need proper pace up front though, it's a useful outlet and can turn a game.

Voronin isnt what i'd call quick.

With Sissoko and Mascher in the middle i don't think we will pass Everton out the game

I am not worried. Kuyt needs to up his performances of late and it's a good occasion for him take the opportunity. Too many players playing under par lately so they should do themselves justice. If not, then we can forget about winning the league. Momo is in the same boat. **** the loss of confidence, it's the merseyside derby and it's going to be a battle.

Momo, Stevie and Mascher will provide battling qualities and the ability to win the ball back. We need flashes of brilliance from players such as Stevie and Yossi. We'll be fine.

True. I think when form is low the last thing you need is the responsibility of central midfield in a derby game. Let him have a free role and try nick a goal. That's all he needs. A goal in this game would kickstart his season!!

If Torres is injured then we must rely on other players and I don't think pace will be an issue here. It's going to be a battle out there, and if we win the second balls and press them in their half and pass it properly, we'll win as we won't be relying on the counter attack. That's the idea.

Pace is great when we need to play on the counter and against teams such as Manure / Arsenal away, where we won't see a lot of the ball. Everton will not pass us off.

It might not be pretty but a gutsy display and a win by any means will do me. We can save the beautiful game display for the Gooners next weekend!!
