The three main positives from today:

Kuyt showed great character stepping up for both penalties and was generally good in the second half. Should be a big confidence booster for the lad.

Lucas looks like a class act.

    Phil Neville got sent off.
A humble guy with healthy desire.

Lucas is a bit lightweight but he has a better chance and looks more creative or likely to get a goal. Considering Momo spent most of the game in the final third of the pitch he just isn't needed alongside Mascher.

God only knows, Al, but I'll take it.

Everton were denied a clear penalty which makes it all the better to me because it rubs salt right in the wounds when I get into work on Monday!!!!

Rafa decided to purchase a player who cannot pass, dribble or shoot. He needs to take full blame for allowing this talentless footballer to wear one of the most famous football shirts in the world. Shocking.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Yeah, I hear you. But I felt Lucas was good when he came on.
And I reckon Rafa was looking to tire them before trying to deliver the killing blow in the 2nd half. Nearly backfired on him though.

SG must be injured, if not I agree it is shocking to take him off and leave Momo on.

The tactics in the first half were shocking apart from the first 15 min too.

Now lets hope this gives us a boost.

Sissokos dire performance against Marsaille takes that honour by a country mile.

Rafa will say he had his eye on the next two games, and will probably rest Momo and Macherano, at the end of the day, Levia had a key part in winning the game, so it is hard to criticise the substitution too much.
Hopefully LEvia is now getting to grips with the English game.

Peter Reid looks well pissed off
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                            * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
