SG through the middle is the only way forward.

If today wasn't the prime example of why that's needed then there'll never be one.

The man who has done well to escape a lot of post match stick after that performance is Sissoko, he was ****ing dreadful today

SG's lung busting run yet again through the middle got us back in the game. If the boss objects to that he can **** off in my book. If he keeps /buying putting out such defensive midfields, making daft decisions and not making the most of the few top class players we have then he's in the wrong job.
SG wants to be an impact player. Rafa wants him to be a team player. Rafa has said repeatedly that a good player will win you some games but only a good team will win you titles.

Some would say that we were only behind because the balance of the team was so bad. We were doing OK until Everton worked out that SG couldn't be bothered playing on the wing.

Today is yet again conclusive proof that our fans are the best in the world...

                  Thank f*ck we won.
                  .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Man Utd totally outplayed Man City in their local derby earlier in the season but went a goal behind and lost 1-0. We played badly again today and also went 1-0 behind but came back with tons of character and Dirk's big bollocks to win 2-1.

And still people aren't ****ing happy...

And we've got key players coming back into the side. We've won 4 out of 5 away games (drew the other). We'll get better the longer the season goes on. When we click up front we'll be awsome.

Then it the f*cking manager's fault for asking him to play there when he's so effective elsewhere on the pitch. (I'm not having a go at you Speedy) but it's not f*cking rocket science - you play your best players in their best positions. If you have to play one of your best players out of position to do a job because what we have as alternatives aren't good enough to do that job - then that's the manager's fault for recruiting sub-standard players in the first place.

SG is one of the best team players we have - he plays everywhere for us on occasion - but he is wasted on the right - especially when we're 1-0 down and have have 2 def MFs on the pitch and a second-rater as the other "wide" option.SG did leave Finnan exposed today - but Rafa should have changed it for the benefit of THE TEAM - but he didn't. He did it for the benefit of Rafa Benitez to make a point, and left a CM player who was playing poorly on the pitch (Momo - who is below SG's standard) in order to do so. That is not in the interest of the team in my book. As it was we got out of jail and Rafa looks vindicated - but not to me. All this is beginning to smack somewhat Houllieresque - which is worrying to me.

People aren't happy with the performance. The Bitters were reduced to ten, yet we hardly created any chances and it took the referee's decision or lack of decision to give us the win. Yes, it is a win against the local rivals and yes it was a test of character and yes we haven't played well and this could be a turning point and finally yes we are in the results business however with the team we had today, we had enough quality to beat them. Its about whether the players could perform today and the answer was not really but a win against the rivals is a win. The substitutions helped. Leiva looked a breath of fresh of air and Babel stopped Lescott from attacking so this can be just the kick up the arse to get us back on track.

I'd much rather play ****e football every match and sneak a win in injury team that watch total football and lose or draw...

Who says with the quality we've got up front (or in wide areas) we WILL click? I'm not so sure.
