It's a serious question, Rafa and SG seem to be at loggerheads. How is it going to get resolved? WE need it resolved.

Stevie has been getting some stick from the media this season. In the second half, we started to see more of the swashbuckling style and Rafa probably thought he might as well sub Gerrard whilst his confidence is high, he might be knackered from playing in Russia and rest him for the Besiktas game. Gerrard doesn't make the team.

no one is above criticism. however he got it right. if the ball had not been handled on the line then lucas would have scored.

when the scum rescue points like this the whole world wanks over them and we curse them i think its good that we have picked up points when we maybe didnt deserve them.

i still think that the fall in our play since the win against derby is a worry. however we are still in there and if we can pick up points when playing not the best i am sure the confidence will pick up.

also i think if you are confident you can almost play any system and make it work. (within reason) when the confidence isnt there then you always look a bit ropey.

so it might not be rafas tactics that are the current problem but a lack of confidence. and we think we know that rafa isnt a great man manager. maybe its a period of readjustment from pako leaving.

lets hope its a blip.

I take your point but if we hadn't won, it would have been a huge mistake.

Because Lucas did so well when he came on, Rafa's decision was vindicated but it could have exploded in his face.
