I really don't understand some people in respect of SG. People harp on that he is indisciplined on the right and that he leaves Finnan exposed yet you want to play him there. In the middle he has the protection of an Alonso, Masher etc and can roam and charge forward to his hearts content. On the right he drifts in. Pennant has been playing reasonably well yet SG plays 45mins on the right and 25mins on the left, gets hauled off, and now he should play on the right all the time in a position he clearly doesn't prefer. SG is a fantastic CM and a very good RW. We should be playing our players in their best positions. Then again perhaps if we were not covering up the holes caused by an indifferent transfer policy then we wouldn't be facing this issue. Yet again we didn't buy a world class winger.

SG should play in the position which is best for the team and that is RW (and stay out there).Originally posted by Red_Al_77 View PostI really don't understand some people in respect of SG. Hyypia can boot a ball over 25 yards. Does in most games.Originally posted by SCOUSERTOMMY View Postis correct but i would not hesitate to rotate that alignment with benayoun and or babel when it becomes static. one adjustment other teams are doing with gerrard in the middle, is that they are allowing him to have the ball deep without any pressure and saying beat us from your own 40 but your not gonna beat us from our own 25. gerrard pushing on, scares the living daylights out of any team. which also raises the point that if we had a defender who could pass the ball 25 yards alonso or gerrard would not have to play so ****ing deep

I do think Agger has a decent pass on him. Ruddock was a fine passer."What's your favourite Beatles album then?"

Oh yeah, that's right, Rafa plays him in the middle so therefore that must be his best position. You RCDNW brigade make me puke, you ****s.Originally posted by Red_Al_77 View PostWho says it's best for the team? So far this season he's played 45mins there. It seems that Rafa thinks he is a CM this season.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Nor do i realistically think a winger will be forthcoming. I think with the abundance of central midfield players we have itll be more a case of square pegs in round holes yet again.
