i never saw the game yesterday only the goals. just read the man of the match thread and its kuyt overwhelmingly. any of you care to show up in this thread and comment on his game yesterday. this is not a piss take but im interested in views when he does play well, if indeed you thought so.

He was not very good IMHO.

BUT he scored 2 penalties, under immense pressure, against the blue****e, so = MOM.

I didnt think he was especially good, but worked hard (as ever) and took his goals well.

TBH, nobody particularly stood out as being that brilliant. Other than Clattenburg

our players are not postmen or firemen - renowned lazy gets

No stand out players therefore 2 goals will obv win you MOTM. IMO, Kuyt had a 2 month spell last season where he showed he may be good enough for a SQUAD position. The rest of the time he's looked very much out of place IMO. You need more quality to play for us, workrate only goes so far so he must really start showing some of the form from the 2 month spell or he may find himself on the road to Bolton.

Kuyt didn't play well. He was lucky to even be on the pitch following his ludicrous 2 footed attack.

he was pretty isolated and did little in my view, and didn't really impress me.

took the penos well though, and all credit to him for having the balls to take the second one.

he prob got man of the match for scoring the goals. if there'd been no pens, he defo wouldn't have got it.
