I don't think PaulC could have seen that game either - Quaresma was very good.Originally posted by Harveybirdman View Posti didnt see that game, so i cant comment.
I have seen him many other times though
He's your typical flashy winger TBH, drifts in and out...but is capable of the sublime. Sets up goals aswell as scores them too.
As far as i see it we have three realistic options for the wings.
Quaresma- would mean spending the majority of our budget 15m+
Menez- 8-10mill
Nasri- 10-12mill
I haven't seen the other 2 play either - must get myself onto youtube so i can be as good at scouting as everyone else on here!

the simple fact of the matter is that wingers drift in and out of games. Quaresma is alot better than what we have, he can beat a man, and whip in a ball with either foot (even the outside of his foot)
The newest 'New Zidane' - Nasri.
EDIT: I see you've mentioned him further down
Benzema looks good too.
Huuntelaar.
Of course Owen and Berbatov would be nice.

I mean Rodriguez.Originally posted by Nic83 View Posti hope you mean rodriques and not Lopez!
Riquilme anyone? Don't see where he'd fit in.
I think Riquelme would be a good signing. Zola and Bergkamp have showed that you don't need to be quick if you have the skill and brain to survive in the PL.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

out
riise 6 mllion
crouch 8 million
momo 6 million
add this to the 20 million rafa already has thats 40 million.....
we are only a few first team players short now of a title winning team as we have some decent squad players"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

clear out? don't think we see anything of the sort
riise - at risk
Kewell - at risk
can't really see anyone else going, the above two names are not even certainties to go.
We will sign a defender and a winger (hopfully!) but that is it.
Don't expect any major dealings, at least, I'm not anyway.

Sounds more feasible than most suggestions. I wouldn't be too surpirised if January is a fairly quiet transfer window for us.Originally posted by Joe Le Toff View PostRiise and Crouch to go IMO.
A defender and a winger in, with Babel becoming one of the 4 strikers.
Chiellini and Mancini perhaps?I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

I think it entirely depends if we are still in the title huntOriginally posted by mersey86 View PostSounds more feasible than most suggestions. I wouldn't be too surpirised if January is a fairly quiet transfer window for us.

Last season Masher was brought in in Jan, the previous one ,Agger.
If Rafa finds one more player of their calibre this Jan I will be happy.
I think it unlikely that we will buy several players, clubs are generally unwilling to sell, players are CL cup-tied etc.
So we might get one of the following
Possible strikers, Anelka/ Owen/ Drogba

Wide players ,Mancini??
CB , I would love Richards if we could persuade him to leave City
Players out
Riise, Crouch, can't see anyone else leaving till the summer

PaulC was right. Quaresma was rubbish against us. The amount of dead-ball situations and crossing opportunities he wasted was criminal. If they had anyone decent playing in his position that night we would have been walloped.Originally posted by carheex View PostI don't think PaulC could have seen that game either - Quaresma was very good.

You can agree with me, or you can be wrong.
