    Exactly.

Do people think we honestly want Rafa to blow it and then wait another 4 years for the new manager to get his team right?

The current dip in performances cioncerns me,yes we haven't lost in the league but look at out CL form.

We've been abismal for a while now and if people wanna let a few draws and scrappy wins paper over that fact then fair enough.

Maybe it's down to Gerrards dip in form,Momo not knowing how to kick a ball straight or the loss of Alonso and Agger, which I think has really hurt us.

Just because he took Stevie off and we won the game? Shock horror Rafa takes Stevie off and we still win.
Mate, i dont KNOW it, but let's look at the facts.

When they went down to 10 men, we werent really pressing too hard for a winner. Rafa wasnt making obvious 'attacking' changes and given what we both know about Gerrard and Lucas, who would one consider to be the most likely matchwinner?

It took a 93rd minute penalty to win us the game, so in SOME kind of context, it was a tad fortunate.

we created enough chances to win the game before injury time. kuyt and riese should have scored well before injury time.

But again we DON'T know if we would have won the game IF Gerrard would have stayed on the pitch.

Rafa made a call and it worked I can't believe he is getting stick for that as well.

                    But we WON the game.

If someone would have given you that result at 12.30 in Saturday you would have bitten their hand off.

When did i deny that we won? That'd be silly

It's the kind of thing fredo would do

End of discussion then we won the game Rafa pulled of a master stroke bring on the Turks.

                        At last we agree.

The thing is a lot of this criticism seems to be essentially - "I wouldn't have done it so it was wrong and the fact it worked luck". I wouldn't have done it either but I can see the logic of it and the way I remember it after the substitutions we made more clear cut chances and we certainly won the game in that period.

In the last two seasons we have done better in the League tha Arsenal which is a reasonable benchmark as they have been going through a period of genuine transition as well. We are behind them at the minute but not by a great margin, the season is young and under Rafa we seem to peak later.

I'm not sure why a change being obvious, or obviously attacking is better than on ethat isn't but does the job anyway.

At the end of the day rafa made the change and we won, we don't know what would would have happened if hadn't made the change, or if he'd changed a different player, so all argument either way is futile. It's not something that conerns me at the moment, if Rafa was making questionable decisions all the time and we were losing points because of it, then it'd become an issue but at the moment it's not.
