You say we cant go on 'expecting' so then why expect us to beat teams then moan when we dont?
So we shouldnt be expecting to beat Brum and Spurs at home?

It's not 'all and sundry' but our home form last season was close to perfect in the league. Should we not expect to maintain that? Should we not expect to improve each season?

Maybe you're right. Maybe we dont have expectations that high.

Maybe that's why teams who DO, win league titles and we dont. We dont have a winning mentality and it's apparent from the way we play and also the expectations (or lack of them) from fans.

Coincidence that we dominate a game where we are 11 against 10 for 40 mins?

But that's the level we're at as of now. We've won 25% of our home games. That is clearly not good enough, is it? So based on what we HAVE done, dont we have cause to be concerned?

We can speculate about what we MIGHT do, but we all expected to beat Brum, it didnt happen. Same with Spurs.

We cant go on what we 'expect' or 'might do', we can only go on the results that are set in stone. Have they been good enough mate?
Hold on. You aren't seeing past your nose mate. It's exactly the same situation compared to the first 3 games when we were flying and many people saying that we were fantastic and were gonna challenge this season. I've called for caution (and Rafa justifiably said the same thing after our 6-0 trouncing of Derby).

So what we didn't beat Brum and Spurs ? We have no god given right to win every match and players are no robots.

It's here for us to let off steam and for when we're bored.

And to wind up a few people like Postman Pat and carheex.

                  Smarmy prick comment...

You have to have access to daily training sessions to know Torres is vastly superior to the other strikers?

                  Evidence thus far suggests it.

Based on picking inferior players when there's little logic to suggest it's the right decision...

His hattrick made that the right decision I would have thought
Maybe he'd have scored a hat trick against Brum and won us the points, had he started that game...

No one said anything about god given right...

But FFS, do we want to win the title or not???

Do teams who win the title generally win most of their games, especially at home?

Can you afford to be dropping home points at the rate we are, if you want to win the league????

Christ, some of you twits would argue if i said we played our home games in red :whatever:

Im sure Utd expected to beat Reading at home. Im sure they expected to beat City away. Did they all cry 'Crisis' and moan about Fergie at the start of the season on your other forum?

And yeah, we have prioritised the CL so much over the league thats why we only have 1 point in the ****in thing and unless we win tonight are probably out on our arses and we also have our best start in the Prem for years.

I HAVE given credit for the away form. If you're too clumsy to notice it, i cant help that.

But FFS, home form, away form...it's academic, it's the overall points tally that matters and based on how we've looked thus far, ours wont be good enough unless there's a significant improvement.

                        Argue that...you obviously will

Man Utd have proven in the past that such dropped points end up being the very rare exception to the rule.

We managed Brum and Spurs twice in a short space of time.

And anyway chris, who gives two ****s about what they do? I dont care about their results, i want OURS to be good enough.

Whatever way you dress it up, whatever other teams' fortunes you bring into it, the fact is dropped points at home to teams like Spurs and Brum arent things we can afford to be doing on more than the very rare odd occasion.

My take on it for what it's worth.

I was on the end of verbal volleys of the RCDNWB a few weeks ago and got so p*ssed off that I wanted off the site.

I think the likes of DJS, CAD and also myself have an objective opinion. Basically it was the same in the Houllier era when I was on Koptalk. When he was making bizarre decisions and doing rubbish I said he had to go then the Pro-Houllier brigade came out and started the abuse (eg go and support someone else etc etc.) In the end I was proved right but it's just the way things go.

I'm back on here and posted the other day that I'm going to back the team 100% from now until the end of the season and see what happens. That's what I'll do. I also made an apology for my negativity in past weeks.

However, at the end of the day the likes of CAD, DJS aren't being anti-Liverpool or even anti-Rafa. They are just highlighting the mistakes he makes. And if we're all honest enough we'll admit that he has made a few this season. Some fans just get frustrated with it that's all. But it doesn't help when people come on and say 'Go and Support someone else' or something along those lines.

I think both sides are equally as guilty. It's become a bit of a zoo in here with too much in-fighting. Quite frankly we beat Everton and there are still people on here slating players like Kuyt or starting threads saying certain players aren;t good enough.

At the end of the day we all just want to enjoy football. After beating the Bitters I don't want to read the slating of players or how we weren't good enough. We get enough of that on Sky and in the Press.

Just have an objective discussion and let people say when Rafa makes a mistake and it's upto the Pro-Rafa fans to counter the statements, not in the way which has been done lately

                              Sorry for the long post!

1 game in hand on the scum if we win that we are 1 point behind? hardly out of the title race.
