With Kromkamp leaving and the failure to get Lucas Neill in, should we have kept Barragan as cover for Finnan? We 'only' got £700K for him I think.

Those of you who watched the reserve team a lot last season would probably have a good idea if he was ready or not. He started for Deportivo against Real Zaragoza in the first game of the La Liga season.

I know he wanted to leave but if he had the carrot of being involved more in the first team, perhaps he would have wanted to stay on.

Finnan won't play every game this season but may have to until January. Realistically, the only player we have who can cover him is Carra.

Agger is left footed and can play left back. I don't know if Paletta, at the moment, would be good enough for the Premiership at Right Back.
