Doesnt it worry anybody that we have until the end of September to secure £180m?????Originally posted by IanTheRedLiverpool have until the end of September to convince the council it can come up with £180m for the project.
It looks to me like all that has happened is that they've crossed the T's and dotted the i's of what was already decided. The bottom line is we are waiting for a sh*tload of money very quickly or it all goes Pete Tong!

Multiplex are using a lot of sub contractors to build the stadium i know as 2 members of my family are working on the site and a few of the eastern europeans don't know the first thing about the building regs over here and there has been some big cock ups.Originally posted by dom9Nothing wrong with Eastern Europeans. They are relatively cheap, very hard working, and produce great quality work, when compared to our own indiginous builders.
By the way, Multiplex, the Wembley builders, are an Australian company.
You don't think multiplex are going to fly in 1,000s of builders from australian.

Or its all kidology cos loss of grants could mean loss of jobs and investment in the area. Weve been threatened with loss of grants about half a dozen times now.Originally posted by warrenpeacekinda hoping they realised that a while back and have the money sorted rather than starting a whip round now

Everton definetely. It would be like showing someone you dislike around your new multi-million pound penthouse in a kind of condescending smug manner. Then having said person ask if they can lodge in there for a few years because their house is falling downOriginally posted by The_Milkmansay if we get the stadium sorted and it it built for August 2009 who would you want the opening game to be against ??

Of course not - but it's multiplex's responsibility to build the thing on time and on budget.Originally posted by exmouth redMultiplex are using a lot of sub contractors to build the stadium i know as 2 members of my family are working on the site and a few of the eastern europeans don't know the first thing about the building regs over here and there has been some big cock ups.
