-Inability to control ball.
-No pace
-No creativity
-No decent players down the flanks (Babbel is blatantly a CF)
-No-one that can dribble, break formation & commit defenders.
-No decent back-up for Agger
-No tempo, control or intelligence to our play.

All of these things can be levelled at Rafa. Looking at the Gooners yesterday, every single one of them from CB up top can trap, dribble, pass & move so it's not just about how mcuh you spend. Even team like Balckburn make our "football" look amateurish sometimes.

Kuyt & Voronin have not & will never work. THey are 2 workhorses. Why arent we playin coruchie FFS? He terrorises European defender & has played well against Turkish opposition.

I am slowly starting to lase faith I am afraid.

My thoughts exactly. Last night Arsenal on the ball were a joy to watch. Our attacking style is an embarrassment.

Looking bad against a poor team, couple of things stand out

Babel is not a winger he doesn't seem to understand the position, he should play upfront in the 2nd half
Kuyt needs to rejoin the attack quicker when he drops into midfield.
Stevie G needs to stop trying to hit the killer ball all the time, maybe sub him for Alonso in the 2nd half to bring some control to the midfield

We managed to get some crosses in.
Babel and Pennant has been ok.
SG needs to go a bit further up and let Masch dictate play. He is marginalising Masch now and is more dangerous himself further up.
Riise and Finnan, continue overlapping.
The bad thing is up front.

That's what happen when you rotate the team a lot. Not only that you change players, you also change their position on the pitch.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Sure it may confuse the other manager and players, but they only have one game plan. There is no patience in our play anymore. Trying to build immediate attacks with nobody forward, 75% of passes find the opposition. Hoofing from the back.

If one tactic doesn't produce a goal in 10mins, 2 players get swapped around and it's tried for another 10mins. It's confusing the **** out of me. Can we steady the ship a little rather than all this changing around?

Gerrard needs to stop all those hollywood passes all them time and giving the ball away, control the midfield and build the play and we will score.

It is also sad to see how rubbish Hyypia has become.

BTW Kuyt has been pretty good, his link up play has been excellent and how he has managed to control some of the balls that have been fired into him I don't know.

At this point I just want someone to show some inspiration! That's what watching football is all about right? A piece of magic that turns a game. I just want them to go for it at this point, even if they lose, just to know there is hope. I want to enjoy watching the Reds, not build up hope before every game that this is the turning point and that we are going to wallop some team, only to watch this rubbish and lose all hope again. When do we call a halt to this madness?
