The problem is upfront. Without Torres we ahve no pace and little goal threat.
The main culprit is Kuyt. He never looks like scoring and Crouch must be given his chance. Crouch isn't being given a fair crack of the whip. He's not being rotated, he's not being played at all. Voronin is ok as your 4th striker but no more than that but Kuyt is the problem.
He works hard but provides no goal threat at all. He isn't good enough for a top team. End of.

Disagree, the CMs were unable to get quality ball out to the wings and forwards. Xabi and Agger will fix that. SG just doesn't fit into Rafa's idea of a CM and his hero balls are not good enough, plus El Jefecito is a destroyer not a playmaker.

Once Xabi et al are back you will see a massive improvement in us.
