Agreed. Alan Green and Lawro have just slated Benitez on 5 Live - saying he got out of jail on Saturday but not tonight. His tactics and team selection are dire. He seems to have lost the plot. We must beat Arsenal - if they tonk us then the season is dead already cos who gives a toss about the carling and the fa cup?
Absolutely no chance we'll beat Arsenal on Sunday, NO CHANCE!
Rafa seems to have lost his touch. Strange that it happened at the same time as Pako leaving.... If this ****e carries on then the summer might be very interesting indeed.
Dark days ahead, thats all i can see. A team that can't pass the ball when not under pressure playing a poor team like Besiktas! no creativity, no control of the midfield, A defence making many mistakes, 3 strikers who are allergic to the box and goalscoring.
The only are we are really under-performing in is CM and distribution from CH. We didn't really get the strikers or the wingers into the game properly. I bet you see a real big difference once we get Xabi and Agger back. We just gave the ball away too much. Passing between CM and everywhere else was bad.
That made the Crow and Kuyt look bad, but to be fair it wasn't their fault they we're getting poor service.
We were getting the ball outwide. The only problem is that when we got it there we don't have a ****ing clue what to do with it.
Tactically we are absolute ****e at the moment. Nothing to do with anything else.

They are everything we're not at the moment.
I just made a £1k bet on them at Nordicbet.
I got 3.20.
Looks like a great odds.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
Slick, accurate passing and good movement was missing tonight, all of which Paco enforced as I'm sure Benitez does.
Players just aren't looking the same though even Carra is looking out of sorts which must mean something is wrong.
Surely it can't all be down to Paco, Benitez doesn't just become a **** manager and run out of ideas overnight.
I also think the Arsenal game at home next, is probably the best game for us.

de ja vu to the GH days.
The amount of times we get the ball in the oppositins half and it ends up back at Pepe is shocking.
Go forward for ****s sake and try to win the ****ing match. To cautious and no ****ing desire. That's a big part of the problem.

I completely agree. Benitez seems to have gotten more and more stubborn and its now costing us points. We were lucky against everton and spurs and if those games had have gone against us then we would all be calling for his head.
Why did he not bring on crouch - they obviously couldnt handle him. Our front 2 couldnt hit a prossie in a whorehouse. They could have played for 900 minutes and we still wouldnt have scored.
Its totally strange - reminiscent of the end of days of both souness and houllier. Totally baffling decisions.
The tide is turning rafa ...
